PROJECTS

2016/2017

Fabio Rossato Project
     FROM   KLEZMER
        TO     JAZZ

The three artists propose a musical project that ranges from klezmer music to jazz.

These musical genres, apparently very different to each other, share many factors both of social, cultural and musical character amongst which improvisation stands out.

Passages scheduled are taken from the klezmer tradition and from the story of jazz with music by F. Waller, D. Ellinghton, R. Galliano, F. Marocco, Sivuca, etc.

THE SINGING STARS

Combining music and cinema, we revived the stars of the silver screen through a series of performing experiences which made them music celebrities in memorable movies, even if only on those occasions.

The research, which has provided unexpected and curious results, has revealed remarkable implications concerning the composer for the cinema. We only know that he had leading figures coming from the “academic” music world as partners.

This project, a real “multimedia show”, has been submitted in preview at the Teatro Comunale in Vicenza the 13th of April 2016.

The jazz accordion in Italy

GORNI KRAMER...... LIVE TRIBUTE "DONNA"

In Italy, the so-called golden age of the accordion in the jazz started in the immediate post-war period and blossomed with renewed strength for nearly two decades, thanks to the radio and then to the TV.

Musicians like Gorni Kramer, Wolmer Beltrami are just some of the greatest accordionists who have helped to change the vision itself of the instrument, thanks to the jazz and to their way of thinking it with the accordion.

STRANEZZE

This project is born with the idea of offering a personal homage to a great artistic talent of the last century: Luciano Fancelli.

His pieces of music are structurally complex and are executed for the first time with a typical jazzy approach thanks to the insertion of solos, harmonic replacements and structural interventions.

This is not a philological operation, but a respectful attempt to reread it, obtained thanks to the inspired and extremely original performances of very talented musicians...like
